Description

Leading you from Beta, an alert mental state, through Schumann Resonance (the earth’s natural frequency) down into sub-Delta, the state of healing and sleep. Power nap time is 30 min. Gentle chimes will wake you. And a reinvigorating 15-minute wake up session will return your refreshed and alert to your activities. A simultaneous drop in pitch, along with a drop in frequency, through corresponding nature soundscapes make this effective on many levels. Power naps are short periods of sleep during the day that are said to be most effective between 1pm and 4pm, and ideally lasting 10-30 minutes. (Longer naps run the risk of “sleep inertia” — or stage 3 sleep. Naps later than 4:00 PM can disrupt your regular nighttime sleep.) Sleep scientists say power napping makes up for deficits in sleep and improves creative problem solving, verbal memory, perceptual learning, statistical learning, mathematical processing, logical reasoning, reaction times and symbol recognition. Best if listened to from start to finish, as it is a journey of guiding brainwaves to a relaxed state, light sleep and then back out to a refreshed alert state.

Special Instructions:

For a high quality listening experience and to aid in blocking out external noises and distractions, a good pair of headphones are highly recommended, though not required. Before each session, make sure you are well-hydrated. The brain is 75% water and needs water to function fully and well. Brainwave entrainment is a workout for the brain. Find a quiet, comfortable place to sit or lie down, free of distraction. After starting the session, close your eyes and relax.

Standard precautions regarding the use of brainwave entrainment:

Isochronic tones are a form of audio brainwave stimulation and are deemed as a safe technology to use, but there are certain groups of people and situations where it is contraindicated. These warnings are largely precautionary in nature, because of the lack of research in these areas.

Although there isn’t any scientific research that I know of suggesting isochronic tones can cause a seizure, if you are someone who is prone to them or considered at risk for them, you should consult a doctor or medical professional before using brainwave entrainment with isochronic tones, just to be on the safe side. Also do not use isochronic tones:

  • If you are pregnant or wear a pacemaker.
  • Under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • While driving or operating potentially dangerous machinery.
  • If on any prescribed medication, it is also recommended that you consult a doctor before using it.
